My connection with native plants began in my youth on hikes in the Chugach Mountains of Alaska and continued through my time earning a botany degree at Oregon State University. When I first got my hands on a camera it was natural that I would be attracted to the colors and patterns of the native flora. I have been particularly drawn to the delicate inhabitants of the harsh environments of alpine ridges and cirques.
